[pianotech] Plate Removal with an engine hoist?

I have not tried that. What is the ceiling height in the shop? What is  
the nature of the ceiling structure? I ask because you don't need  
anything super-duper special. I have an eight-foot ceiling and just  
flimsy 2x4 joists (is that what they are called?)  going across my  
ceiling. I ran a six-foot 4x4 across four of the joists and mounted my  
chainfall to that. Works great. Got pictures if you want them.
