[pianotech] Pushing a piano and rug on a wood floor

I wouldn't be comfortable making a recommendation, as a piano professional,
to move a piano in that manner. No doubt, depending upon the type of pad,
and the type of people, it could be accomplished. It just seems that
there's too much potential for damage to the rug, the piano, and the people
involved. I'd recommend not.

I've moved my own by rolling up the rug (at some appropriate angle) to where
it runs into either the bass side or treble side leg. Then I lift the first
leg while a helper rolls the rug underneath. Keep going until all three
legs and lyre are clear and then move the piano to the desired location and
reverse the process.
