Hi, Richard!
The  "Clicking" noise can be coming if there is an exessive LOST  
MOTION and Back Check Wire hits Abstract Stickers.
Rattling Noise  can happen if there is worn or missing Pedal Rod Pin  
RUBBER Bushing. Check all 3 Bushings.
