[pianotech] tuning

Hi Marshall... I agree w/ Ed & Rob.

I'm not a hot shot tuner pounding out 6 tunings a day... I'm happy w/ 2-3 tunings a day, and doing them each very well (est 1 1/2 hours each).

And for my "snack" in-between tunings, I eat an Atkins bar and drink a small sized lo cal Gatorade. (7a Breakfast, 9:30a snack, noon snack, 2:30p snack, 5p Dinner is my routine)

The Atkins bar has few carbohydrates but a good amount of protein, which keeps me from having my sugar highs & lows. (I get them in bulk at SAMs club, but they're available at Walgreens etc) I'm convinced some people don't have a problem w/ Carbs... but others of us like me do.

Find your routine incl eating habits that works, and you'll be tuning to the point of even forgetting to take that necessary snack as you produce your desired rate of tunings, etc.

Best Regards & Happy Holidays... Bill Fritz, St Louis

Marshall-
Excellent advice from Rob McCall. Learn about the glycemic index, and keep at
t, learning to make better food choices. Get your family involved and learn new
ays to eat.
Also, practice relaxed tuning, pausing often to "shake out" your body tension in
hatever way works for you. It gets better as you get better over the years.
earn to work efficiently with an easy focus. Aim for three comfortable tunings
n a day, and trust your body about more than that.
