Jeez, Ron. Don't leave. Highlight the gems and see what makes the  facets

No, not a control impulse. It's a reluctance to see  rare gem 
observations left lying on the ground to be stepped over in  pursuit of 
previously (sometimes much) discussed, and more mundane  issues.

Not a widely shared concern, apparently. Apologies for the  interruption.
