Digital "pianos" have nothing to do with acoustic pianos other than the similarity of the noted keys. They are valid musical instruments in the own right, but have no business being compared to pianos. Would you compare a piano to a harpsichord? Or an organ? Different beasts, different function, all legitimate. All keyboards. End of similarity. Keyboards (or synthesizers) have not replaced the piano as was once feared simply because they are not in direct competition with one another. I know, try that logic on the budget office. But the public still buys pianos. Apparently, they know the difference. Joe Wiencek
