Cy, Another thing I've seen: the whole side of the piano can break free from the strung back. I had a Yamaha whose right side came unglued. The hammers were nearly striking the serial number up in the treble. Yours isn't so drastic, but it's worth a look. (Then check the keybed's integrity.)
