[pianotech] Damper Head Refinishing

Hi, Patrick. I did this to a Baldwin I have, and I stripped them, as Joe
suggested. When re-finishing them, I used Qualasole (sp?). It is a rub-on
finish, like French Polish. No overspray, etc, build it as you see fit.
The beautiful walnut under the grungy black paint is beautiful, and the
finish has a beautiful, not too glossy, not too dull sheen to it that I just
love. YMMV, but worth a shot if the wood is nice under the paint.
