Tom, I think you might have accidently misprinted the first inversion in your post. You have it listed as ECG...shoud be EGC. 5/3 Chord: Root of C is: C-E-G. (creates a 5th interval between C and G, and a 3rd between C and E. 6/3 Chord: denotes the 1st Inversion of C is: E-G---C. (creates a 6th interval between E and C, and a 3rd between E and G). 6/4 Chord: denotes the 2nd Inversion of C is: G---C-E. (creates a 6th between G and E, and a 4th between G and C) (I wrote the chords above with spaces to give example also of the finger general finger spacing (shape of the chords).
