Send a sampling of hammers to yor hammer maker. I would suggest you also repalce the shanks and flanges, so send those, too.

I am looking at replacing the hammers on a 1932 Kimball grand.  The piano was 
ormerly in a bar.  The old hammers are sanded down, in some cases almost to the 
ood, so that regulation currently is all but impossible.  My question is, how 
o I decide what weight of hammers to use?
