I tuned a Weber, (Young Chang) studio once that gave me fits. I usually take an hour for a complete tuning, but after an hour I was about to push it through the door and down the hill. I fought that damn thing for 2 hours. I thought it was me, but I happen to talk to another tuner who had tuned that piano earlier, and he had the same problem. Some times a piano is just obnoxious. It's our job to do the best we can with what we're given, and go on. I didn't charge extra. I consider it part of doing business. It took about four hours to get it where I could walk away. When I pulled up the treble (not too much), it went way sharp afterwards. I went over it again to lower the pitch and it went way flat. Pulled up...crept sharp but not as much. After the third or fourth pass thru the treble, the piano was good enough. I charged for the time. Never heard back from them...problem solved. Maybe that's why it was donated. -- Regards, Jon Page -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
