It may be that there is a horizontal guide pin coming out of the back of each cheek block that slides into a hole in the top piece. If that is the case, if you push the board away from the keys it may slide out far enough that you can lift it away. If you have already removed screws, the finish might be holding it in place. Tap...gently. If you can't locate screws, then gently pull in the middle or ends to see where the screws are. There should be some "give" at various places. It might be one of those pianos that have slots that the rail slides on. Some Story & Clark consoles have top lids like these. Don't panic...examine.
