Actually just below lid height, and this is trivially inexpensive w/salvaged carpet glued onto 2x4's. I take care of a piano where the stage manager built a garage out of 2x4 framing and plywood, with a standard roll-up door and padded rail. It works great. I have them roll it out, open it, and light it up an hour before I come to tune. Bob Davis
