Standard load bearing for a residential floor is 300 pounds per square
foot. That is for the whole floor in a room! COmmercial load factors
are greater than that. A G2 is likely about 600 pounds on three legs.
The load is high but residential floors have been supporting 1,000 pound
S&S "D"s for years. Someone hasn't thought this through to a comparison
of locations. A dancer can put multiple hundreds of pounds on ball of
their foot when leaping and jumping. The floor is designed to absorb a
lot of the impact to protect their feet, not the pianos wheels. Impact
is the factor not load factor.
