And 17' of arc is 17/60 = 0.28333etc°.  So in Excel, SIN(RADIANS(17/60)) = 
0.004945 (0.5%) per division, * tension = down bearing per division. One 
bubble division at 540 lbs for the unison = 2.67 lbs - or thereabout.
