damper guide rail cloth?

Although this might sound rather simple, there are complications that could 
arise. One, for example, is the screw holes and the actual screws. A friend 
of mine decided to replace the rusty screws for the guide rail with new ones. 
Most of the damper wires were hitting the strings. When he put the original 
screws back on, the problem fixed it self. So although you might be able to 
duplicate the exact holes for the damper wires, if you get the screws holes 
off by just a 1/32' of an inch, it could create a whole new set of problems.

I would rather rebush than replace the guide rail.
