<< It would need to be some sort of device which would only be used in certain situations, so it couldn't be a permanently installed prop. Long story short, neither does the piano they perform on belong to the school of music, so it would have to be easily installed/removed without risking damage to the instrument. >> Hmm, how about a stick? maybe 24 inches long and felt covered on each end? Just prop it up at the rim side of the existing prop stick and put it in the hole under the lid. (a drumstick works well, but may not be long enough for certain applications). Ed Foote RPT
