I have tried them and they fit/work (Schaff). I think on a D, anyone could shove the piano too fast and eventually destroy them, but with care, they should work. I was wondering if anyone had tried them. I have always been a cheapskate and bought the other (whose name escapes me) double rubbers. Do Darnells have a different stem? But I will also contact the Steinway rep. Thanks for the suggestion and address.
