Suzan, and others ,

I am interested in hearing about the voicing marks you use.

Mine are :

Dots for the spacing right/left 1 dots = 1 mm or so.
V, Inversed V, little hill with an abrupt slant for the string mating
(assuming strings are level) / or \ if the whole strike is to be
slanted , as near the break.
marked just near the end of the ivory.

/!\, /!, !, or !\ for head needling (string by string equalization)
lower on the key for more, higher for less.

O when right, + for more low needling

Papering = /, //, or /// on the edge of the key.

Very often I use no marks for spacing, as the visual inspection is
enough and I work section by section. On old agrafes with an uneven
strings height no matter what we try, marks are more required.

Eyeballing 3 hammers at once while moving them from rest position to
an inverted position where I can compare with the hammer rail edge,
keeping an eye on the progression of the shoulder's curve while the
hammers goes up (first back shoulder, when vertical front shoulder,
when inverted a good view of the strike zone vs.. the rail) Very
useful method, less tiring for the neck than eyeballing the hammers
from the sides.

Best regards.
