which with your business acumen you should know.  Even though she wrote =

A certain  order to check everything?

I usually end up writing a ton of stuff in a hap-hazard way and it's =

silly and even gets ME confused after I've had a gander.

These are the steps I try to follow. This comes from the Steinway check
list, although I made some modifications.=20

Steps for grand piano prep  (@ In the piano.  *on the bench)
1. Tighten rim bolts @
2. Tap string @
3. Tap bridge pins @
4. Tap capo bar @=20
5. Tighten action bracket screws @=20
6. Bed the keyframe @=20
7. (bush keys) *
8. File hammers *
9. Tighten action screws *
10. Lube center and balance rail bushings and pins *
11. Ease keys *
12. Level keys @
13. Polish and lube capstans and lube wippen cushions *
14. Check hammer flange pinning *
15. Set blow distance *
16. Set repetition  springs *=20
17. Regulate fly position *
18. Space jacks *
19. Set balancier height *
20. Travel and burn hammers *
21. Adjust let off *
22. Adjust drop *
23. Align and fit hammers to strings and/or level strings. @=20
24. Adjust keyframe shift screw @
25. Align wippens to hammers and capstans @
26. Adjust keydip @=20
27. Adjust after touch @
28. Adjust let off @=20
29. Regulate drop @
30. Align and square backchecks @
31. Regulate backcheck height @
32. Set repetition springs @
33. Check blow distance, let off, and drop @
34. Adjust dampers and damper pedal @
35. Set damper upstop rail @
36. Adjust sostenuto rod @
37. Tune @
38. Voice @
