I've got 12 brand new 1098s and they do tune up better than before the
modification made three years ago. Call Eric Schandall and he will give
you some "tricks" to tuning them. (Really. And no, that doesn't include
dropping them off a cliff) they are vastly improved over the ones we all
know and hate to tune.
