OK- Don't laugh. My friend Ed and I have decided to journey together (for moral support) on a rather awful Kranich and Bach action. (Now nicknamed Chronically Blegch".) This is a customer of Ed's and she is very happy with the looks of her piano (who's heard *THIS* one before??)- but the crumbling action (full of shoddy repairs on really old parts) is in such a state, that PLAYING the "piano" is not fun. (But remember how nice it looks??) :B Anyways... I'll just come right out with it. Does anyone here have an old 88 note (grand) Kranich and Bach action from around 1914 ???? that sports: - iron action rails under the keybed ???? - non removeable stack (but the hammer and wippen rail can be removed seperately) It's "weird looking" and I've only seen it ONCE, but we're sorta desperate. I wouldn't say we've bitten off more than we can chew- for it IS fun trying to come up with new snazzy ways to possibly retro-fit it with something current and we're pro's darnit. :) We're just thinking that if one of you has one "laying around" then we would help clear out your shop space. Even just SOME of these old parts would help. I understand that the customer isn't "too" concerned about moola as long as it's "reasonable". OK- That's all folks!! ANY direction/suggestions on this is apprieciated. :) Michelle stranges@oswego.edu
