My friends

This afternoon I finished moving into a new room. I used to have a room on
the ground floor, with about 300 square feet, with a big window, which looked
out over the courtyard, where I could watch squirrels climbing up and down a
tree. I was next door to the piano faculty. Nice and quite. I was also next to
an outside door, about 50' from the parking lot.

Now I'm in a room on the second floor, almost twice a big, but it's next to
the band room. And to make matters worse, there is no window. It is somewhat
bitter sweet, though. The bigger room is nice. I've been given permission to
start a handbell choir, which is a good thing and the room is big enough to
put up the bell tables. But the no window thing is a bummer. (Although my
chair said he would try to get one put in within the next year.) Putting up with
band and orchestra rehearsals might also not be the greatest, but I can
always schedule tunings elsewhere in building.

Anyway, I'm not asking for any help. Just thought I would share the
information.
