[CAUT] Restringing treble

I have to echo Dales post here... my first thoughts after reading Daves 
post were about the plate itself.  There was quite a discussion about 
this, or very similar themes about 3 years back when Newton was still 
with us.  Ron N probably remembers a good deal about that discussion as 
he was one of the principle contributers,  so if he feels like chirping 
in I am sure that would be informative and interesting. Otherwise, 
theres the archives to search.
