Capo bars

Not personally but a friend use to route for a 4mm or 5 mm diam bar of beryllium bronze with good success, the material being not too hard nor soft, and self lubricating.

On the opposite I've seen the use of steel and the string mark inside a lot, plus awful rendering for tuning.
