Thanks for all the replies... some good thoughts all around.  I was 
wondering if anyone had played with hammer mass... ala adding lead to 
the moulding as Stanwood buffs do.  The thing is the hammers cant really 
get much brighter then they are.  If I brighten up more then now it will 
just get pingy sounding.  I thought perhaps a bit more mass in the 
hammers might bring up the power a bit.

Jim mentioned something I liked.... lower volume is good for practice 
rooms.  I suppose that goes for the home as well.   Think of all those 
greatfull parents !! :)

Actually... the instrument has a pleasant enough voice.  Its just there 
is no real power or projection. I'd like to get a bit more anyways.
