Ken,

The original was by the late, great Newton Hunt. His post is on=
the archives in the CAUT section. Probably been talked about on=
Pianotech also...check the archives for more info...

"All hard wood.

P.S. You could build a box of 3/8" ply and 1x1" cleats=
 15x17x18". It
can be turned to the desired seating height. Almost=
 indestructible,
cheap, not worth stealing and extremely strong."

Subject: [CAUT] Practice Room Benches

A couple of months back, someone talked about having built oblong=
boxes for practice room piano benches. They were something like=
17X19X21 inches so they could be rotated to different heights. =
I=92m thinking of doing a similar thing here, and our Director=
wants some more information on design & usage experience. Would=
whoever that was please contact me so I can pick your brain?

Thanks,
Ken Z.
