In this book he specifies all of the "ins and outs" of preparing pianos, specifically for the works of John Cage. In the beginning of the book there is actually an advertisement for a recording of "The Perilous Night" made by Mr. Bunger. In the book there are specific lists of supplies needed and indeed there is even a photograph of a piano which has been prepared for "The Perilous Night". It is indeed a "pleasure" listening to this music and the interesting timbres the preparations produce. =20 Eric Wolfley Head Piano Technician Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music University of Cincinnati ________________________________ From: caut-bounces@ptg.org [mailto:caut-bounces@ptg.org] On Behalf Of David Ilvedson Sent: Monday, November 21, 2005 1:02 PM To: caut@ptg.org; pianotech@ptg.org Subject: [CAUT] Cage... =20 List, =20 The SF Ballet is doing a John Cage piece...Perilous Night. Anyone understand how the preparing of the piano progresses for these pieces? I haven't had the "pleasure" of preparing a piano before.
