If we are asked to prepare for a hurricane, you should:

o unplug your office refrigerator and empty it of food and ice.
Make sure the food is bagged and the bags sealed for
trash pick up.

o back up your computer files; unplug your computer and monitor. Seal each
in the trash bags provided.

o secure computer back-ups as needed off-campus or on remote media.

o lower and close window blinds.

o unplug all other equipment and lamps.
o take your instruments home and any other personal property you want to
protect.

o make appropriate decisions about your CDs, books and files.

o close pianos and wrap with plastic provided.

How many of the professors do you think will actually do the last thing. I
would predict that the violin, flute and oboe teachers might take their
instruments home, but most professors will probably not care about their piano.
