'sters - The recent, and hopefully not expired thread on tight balanciers demonstrates a small but important detail regarding responding to posts. I can only address Eudora protocols, but I assume it has some relevance to other email clients. When saved posts are organized by subject, Eudora will recognize as the related: Subject: [CAUT] tight balancier Subject: Re: [CAUT] tight balancier Subject: Re: [CAUT] Tight Balancier (One original post. All others start "Re:" Upper or lower case seem OK) as distinct from: Subject: [CAUT] RE : Tight balancier Subject: Re: [CAUT] RE : Tight Balancier (New original, interposing "RE" and extra spaces before "Tight ...". as distinct from any second post titled: Subject: [CAUT] tight balancier (Not beginning with "Re". As I said, I don't know if this is uniquely a Eudora issue, though I would suspect that all clients have their syntactical rules. If it is a function of responding from the archives, as I know the case to be with RicB and Jon Page, I don't know if anything can be done, either by poster or LIst Masters. The thing that it would seem posters can reasonably do is, if entering the subject by hand, to do so precisely.
