I once tuned a B from the 50's at a high school in western Virginia that was 
stored in a simple locked room offstage, with no vents, windows or other 
humidity control.  It was in great shape.  Simply being out of the torrent 
of air being exchanged by HVAC systems seemed to help, as of course did 
being locked away from student access.
