I agree with you David, The people at Steinway have looked out at the audiences of classical concerts and seen the white hair. They did do a responsible thing though and picked a high quality company and the newest and best hearing aid in their product line. I'm expecting the technical specs on the hearing aids in the mail next week so will understand more about them soon. I sent the website link to my classmates in my Hearing Instrument Specialist Program classes, none of whom are musicians, and several of them said they _almost_ wished they had hearing problems so they could wear such beautiful hearing aids. Date: Mon, 22 Jan 2007 16:00:48 -0600 John: Several years ago Steinway announced a licensing agreement to let the Steinway name be used on other (high end) products. I'm sure that if I were selling hearing aids I'd like having the Steinway name on them ("they're the best for hearing music!!!") I think it's just an attempt to get the most money from the product name they have marketed so well in the past. dp David M. I received my winter issue of STEINWAY & SONS magazine recently (the one written for consumers of very high end luxury items...like yachts, expensive wines and cigars) and noticed some adds for products I just never thought I'd see in a million years. There are now S&S hearing aids, golf items(including balls)as well as a line of furniture coming soon. Here are a few links: http://www.steinwaycollections.com/ http://www.verve.phonak.com/ I wonder when they'll show up in the S&S parts catalogue! I'm looking forward to showing up for a tuning and impressing my customers with a S&S hearing aid. : ) We do indeed live in interesting times! John Minor University of Illinois
