[CAUT] piano truck caster question

John,

While I was at IWU, I put brakes on the casters of our trucks on stage
(maybe just on the front wheels). I think I got them from Schaff (that was
a long time ago). The brakes worked, but the stage crew & faculty had a
problem operating them correctly, in spite of the chart I made showing which
positions were on and off. There were only two choices, why did they always
choose the wrong one? Of course, with the brakes on, the pianos were harder
to move and the casters wore out a bit faster, but the pianos didn't move
while being played or tuned. :-)
