He didn't insert them -- he just laid them on top of the front duplex of notes he didn't like, to identify them for the technician. He had a whole boxful of the things, narrow black wedges like wire mutes without the handles. I imagine he could indicate practically every treble note and not run out. Quirky but it worked and did no harm. Susan
