Hi Kent

I like your term very much actually.  The Norwegian  term for this, 
(selvsving) directly translated to english comes out "Self swinging"   
or "Self beating".  I've preferred this way of putting it since first 
moving here in 81.

That said.. seems like every attempt we humans make at standardizing 
something or another gets defeated somewhere along the line... and in 
language I guess this means we will always need to strive to go that 
extra mile in communicating positively with one another. That said 
again... I'll go along with the term "single-string beats".  Its a good one.
