[CAUT] False Beats and George Winston

Hi all...

Not to beat this into the ground... but if this was true... then why 
does increased pressure on the screwdriver past the point where the beat 
stops cause the beat to start up again  and speed up with continued 
increased pressure ?  And why does  about half the time one runs into 
this condition the addition of mass to one of the back bridge pins, or 
even an adjacent cause the beat to stop ? Take out your handy handy 300 
gram small vicegrips and check it out.  It just doesnt end up being so 
simple.

        In the case of those myriad cases where touching the pin with
        the screwdriver and/or seating the string kills the beat, It
        *is* flagpoling. That's what causes the beat
