[CAUT] add capstans to tray?

I sent this yesterday, and it didn't show up yet. I just 
checked the file size. Yup, forgot I had compression set to 
zero for something else. So here it is again, with a 
compressed photo.

Hi Mark,
The why is to make it easier to time and touch up damper lift 
with the pedal without having to move the wire and realign, or 
shim. The how is taking off the old felt from the tray, 
ripping a rabbet off of the top surface if necessary to make 
room for the capstan, being mindful of how much wood is left 
to hold the threads, adding strips of felt to the underlevers, 
and installing capstans. Mark where you want 'em on the tray, 
drill holes, and screw them in. I use these 10/24 x 1/2" 
indented hex head screws. Taking the raised edge off of the 
head with the lathe leaves a nice short hex head capstan 
that's short enough I often don't need to rip the rabbet.

I don't know of a Journal article, though there may be one.
