[CAUT] Pure Sound

Oops, you're right. I just know that Juan said the upper octave was a
problem and it seemed in his rescale there was his size 13. I dunno, but
I'll ask him about it since there seems to be interest in a D.

Thank,
Jim

Jim:

There isn't any 13 wire on a D. Juan lists a strong 13.5.

Dennis,

It hasn't been done, yet. This summer I plan on doing one. The scale is
available but the new "stronger" size 13 wire is not available so you
have to use Roslau or Mapes up there. I haven't strung a high profile
instrument with the wire yet but after 3 years it certainly seems to be
great wire and we're getting more bold with which pianos we're using it
on.

Would you use it on a Concert D? - Or has that been done? From what I
read it sounds like they recommend it more for smaller instruments.

thanks,

dennis.
