[CAUT] Bowing piano strings?

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.  I'm still trying to track down
the conductor so I can see what the score says about how to go about
it, but I think that the caution tape and the EBow will be pretty good
alternatives to whatever it is he has in mind.  The piece is called
Vultures, by Jarvinen.

I see on the E-Bow website that John Cage has used this gadget on
harps, not pianos.
