[CAUT] Bowing piano strings?

It seems likely it's one and the same guy, small world. Thanks in
advance for the ask.

I'm the piano tech at the college. I'm looking into all this because
I've found that explaining my concerns about piano usage AND offering
some kind of alternative goes a long way towards maintaining relations
on a good footing. Otherwise I find the pianos with non-functioning
dampers and ballpoint pen markings on the damper heads, and all I can
do is grumble.

Thanks,
Zeno Wood
