Maybe ten or fifteen years ago I got simply lovely pure wool stringing braid, in scarlet and in royal blue, with the twill weaving pattern similar to the cotton stuff we usually use. I believe it was carried by Pianotek. I should have gotten more of it. It is very similar to the old stuff found in good grands from a century ago.
