Hello Folks,
Here is another position announcement:
 
Michigan State University College of Music - Piano Tuner Assistant: Position
assists with the tuning and maintenance of teaching studio, practice room
and classroom pianos.  On a regular basis, replace action parts, file
hammers and regulate actions on school pianos.  Also assist with rebuilding
of schools pianos including: pinblock replacement, soundboard repair, bridge
notching and finish repair.

Position requires knowledge such as that acquired in the first two to three
years of college, technical or vocational school in music, music technology
or related program and six months work experience tuning and maintaining
concert grand pianos and related stringed keyboard instruments.

 

The Ideal candidate will be able to analyze problems, do repairs and perform
aural tunings at a high level; have knowledge of concert level action
regulation and voicing as well as knowledge of all aspects of grand piano
manufacturing and rebuilding.
