Just a follow up on Steinway pedal plate screw. the April 2001 Journal has a tip from Tim Dixon...i.e. tap the pedal with a 1/4" x 20 NC tap. Drill the plate with a 1/4" drill bit to enlarge. Us a 1/4" x 20 x 3/4" machine screw.
