I think a more realistic option is a work-study student. Not without problems, as college age kids are not always the most responsible, and scheduling is hard with classes and rehearsals. But work study is subsidized by the federal government so that the cost to the department is typically under minimum wage. I would think a 10 hour a week work study could handle the situation, with the tech overseeing and covering when need be. Regards, Fred Sturm University of New Mexico fssturm at unm.edu
