Looks like 33 mm from the top arm to the bottom of the v in the slight bend in the lower arm.  Have a look.

Yes! Works well, doesn’t it? Yours has improvements over mine. What are the actual dimensions you came up with?

Thanks for the great idea. I just got a set of wippens to repin which needed the jig.  This is my version inspired by Jim Busby's.  It works beautifully--with the extra little bends, there is less slipping.
