Oops….that is to “hang” them (handling as little as possible.) :>0

Hi Paul,
I was always told to hand them if you can’t get to them right away.

Subject: [CAUT] Bass string question

Hi All,

I'm rebuilding a "26 Steinway M and I just received my bass strings. I'm
not going to get to that part of it for some time(like a month or two).
Question is; Is it bad for the strings to stay coiled up in the box, or
should I get them out and hang them straight of lay them down straight? I
usually get strings right when I need them and never thought about it
until now.

Thanks!
