It could be the glides...I'll try raising them to the point of no balance rail contact with the keybed (if that is possible on this concert grand action) and see what that does for fallboard/keytop clearance.? Key dip currently measures at around 10 mm in the extreme areas and and less than that in the middle half or so (along with the beginning of the requisite "smiley face" effect in the key leveling).? 

The pin(s) in the rim didn't catch my eye as bent, but I will check more carefully next visit.

Glides adjusted very badly (by someone who wanted to increase aftertouch perhaps)? Piano dropped in shipment, causing that pin in the rim to be pushed downward?

 Just saw a two year old grand made by a top manufacturer.? The client had complained that the fallboard didn't fit right.? When lifted, it would ride up off the pin on which it rotates on the treble end.? (So it's a "pin in the rim" as opposed to a pin in thefallboard design.)?  The (original) owner says that no action work (like, say, oh, raising the key height) has been done, and from the wear pattern, that does look to be the case.? I suppose there is a possibility that it came from the manufacturer this way.? It is conceivable that thefallboard had never been on with the action in at the factory until it went out.? At which time either no one noticed (!) or someone did notice but let it go anyway (!!!).? If, however, we assume that "something has gone wrong" that wasn't wrong to begin with, what could it be??
