[CAUT] Insurance question

I too do not understand this. Have you made it clear to them that you are a sole proprietor with no employees? I have several university contracts that ask for that but I have never provided it because it does not apply to my business structure.

    worker's compensation insurance.  I am a contract technician, sole  
    proprieter with no employees.  Apparently, I can purchase the  
    insurance for about $700 a year , but would not be able to file a  
    claim if I needed too.  Do any of you in similar situations carry this  
    insurance?

      I don't understand this.  You are being asked to spend $700 for workman's comp, yet you have no workers and could not file a claim if needed?  Am I missing something?
