Thisopening was just posted on the University of Cincinnati Website and will be inthe Journal and on the CAUT Page as well (Scott, are you listening in?) 
 
Salaryrange is $28,730 to $45,892 depending on qualifications with the midpoint beinga realistic figure given the economic climate here. Benefits are excellent. Thejob will be mostly tuning and regulating studio, rehearsal and classroom pianoswith some concert work sprinkled in. Workload is approximately 90 pianos…mostlynew Steinway and Boston. TheUniversity of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music (CCM), an "AllSteinway School" seeks to fill a Piano Technician position to tune andmaintain assigned pianos and other keyboard instruments. Share concert tuningduties as assigned for more than 1,000 performances and recitals a year in 6CCM venues. Maintain instruments in assigned faculty studios, practice roomsand classrooms. Assist in maintaining service and inventory records. Work withscheduling office to coordinate assigned tuning and maintenance service withscheduled activities. Perform various refurbishing and service work in CCMshop. This position will require extensive experience in all aspects of pianotuning and repair. Proven skill in regulation and voicing of Steinway pianos isessential. Experience in working with harpsichords and other historic instrumentsincluding experience in working with historic temperaments is a plus. 
 
JobDescription: Under general supervision from a designated supervisor, maintainpianos and harpsichords at the College Conservatory of Music.  
 
Min.Quals.:Bachelors degree with 1 year experience; OR associate degree with 3 yearsexperience OR 5 years experience. Degree must be in Music or related field. 1year experience with a master craftsman. 
 
IdealQualifications: Registered Piano Technician status in Piano Technicians Guildpreferred. Experience in a college or university setting a plus. Strong verbaland written communications skills desired. Use of Microsoft Office includingAccess database applications a plus.
