[CAUT] nasty overtone

Good Morning ,
  Relating to the Steinway hammer ratio post before this one. Prior to trying out these Renner blues we installed 6 sets of Steinway hammers, all pre hung hammers, with proper hammer to string ratio. We had to actually take the H/S and flanges off and grind them down as they would not fit. I have noticed alot of hostility for certain post, but I opt to continue in my guest for knowledge and will sperate the wheat from the chaff.
 The Renners did fit nicely, but there were a few bass hammers that looked a little out of place due to ,I was told , from the hammer warping. No problem, just popped it off and reamed a bit and fit it into place.
I countinue my quest to make whatever I am doing work to it best. Steinway , Renner, Able .
If the capo bar needed some guitar fret file magic wouldnt all the hammers strike a nasty overtone? Please note I am not the nasty overtone I just want to see what others think about one nasty overtone. Remember all the others are fine. Everything has been tapped and pulled and measured,and massaged.
I thank you for all of you educated and non hostal replies.
Peace {i hope}
Dan
